Prior to joining the firm, Ashley served as a judicial intern for The Honorable Alicia O. Valle in the Southern District of Florida. Ashley also clerked for a civil litigation firm and spent several summers as an intern in the legal department of a publicly-traded insurance services company.

Ashley grew up in South Florida. She pursued her initial journalism dreams at Florida State University, where she obtained a degree in Communications/Media Studies – and discovered her newfound interest in the art of legal writing.

Ashley then returned to South Florida for law school and graduated from the University of Miami School of Law cum laude. As a law student, Ashley worked as a Certified Legal Intern for the University of Miami Children & Youth Clinic, where she discovered her love of and talent for appeals while working on a case before the Third District Court of Appeals. To round out her appellate-focused law-school career, Ashley served as an editor on the University of Miami Business Law Review, where her student note was selected for publication. Ashley also advanced her legal writing and oral advocacy skills through competing at national competitions in Delaware and Washington D.C. for the Charles C. Papy, Jr. Moot Court Board, in which her team finished as Finalists and received a Best Brief Recognition award.
